03.01.2012 – (idw) European School of Management and Technology (ESMT)- Karl-Heinz Kipp Chair to advance outstanding research at ESMT- ESMT expands expertise in finance and bankingSascha Steffen joined the faculty of ESMT European School of Management and Technology as an assistant professor and the first holder of the Karl-Heinz Kipp Chair in Research on January 1, 2012. The Karl-Heinz Kipp Chair was founded to support young academics and exceptional research. In this position, Sascha Steffen will continue his research in the areas of financial intermediation and banking, adding to ESMTs expertise in these areas.Before coming to ESMT Sascha Steffen was an assistant professor for banking and finance at the University of Mannheim. from 2008 to 2009 he was a visiting scholar at the Stern School of Business of New York University and at ESMT. His research has been accepted for publication in leading finance journals, such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and the Journal of Banking and Finance.
